LOCOMOTIVE HAULED SPECIALS

Rail travel like it used to be!

Summer Saturday outings are again planned for the thirty year old (fully refurbished) Class 31 “top and tailed” diesel electric locomotive hauled train. 

There is more room for cycles than on the regular trains, so this is a good opportunity to plan an expedition to the lovely countryside around the Dorset and Somerset stations.

The loco haul will run from 
WESTBURY to WEYMOUTH  and back 
on Saturdays  
from 9th July to 27th August inclusive

Departs Westbury 09.05   Arrives Weymouth 10.45
Departs Weymouth 16.30   Arrives Westbury 18.13

Stops at all stations in between (Chetnole, Yetminster and Thornford on request).

You may see the loco hauls running at other times, but use of these as relief capacity on normal services is not being scheduled in advance this year.
